Caramel Custard : Recipe
Caramel Custard / Caramel Pudding :
This is a well known and a very simple recipe, that I'm going to share with y'all today.
Requirements :
• Sugar.
• Water.
• Milk.
• Egg ( 1 Pc).
• Vanilla essence.
Procedure :
• Sugar(3tbsp) and 1 tbsp of water is added in a pan, and stirred and mixed quite well, keeping the flame to be low.
• It is mixed and heated thoroughly until it turns reddish brown and almost becomes semi-molten in state.
• Then it is poured in an over proof dish/ steel, and cooled to room temperature, so that the caramel layer sets properly.
• Keeping it aside to cool, taking a mixing bowl, 1Pc. Egg(at room temperature) is whisked thoroughly and in it is added the desired amount of milk and desired amount of sugar and stirred well. Vanilla essence is then added to get rid of the egg smell, and then stirred nicely.
• After the pudding preparation is made, it is strained to get a smooth pudding. Now the strained preparation is poured into the oven proof dish after the caramel layer is fully set.
• Taking a heated pan, a paper towel is kept on it, after that the oven proof dish with its lid closed is placed above the towel, and some water is added into the pan, to some middle level of the dish.
• The pan then set at low flames, for 15-20 minutes depending upon the time, is set to make the preparation.
• After taking the dish out, it is cooled to room temperature and then put into the refrigerator for an hour.
• Then it is placed on a plate as shown in the above picture.
The preparation is ready, and it tastes delicious.
